*THIS IS AN IN-PERSON CLASS*Just like the last time I taught this class, I’m offering it because a bunch of my Guitar 4 students said, “Whaddya mean there’s no Guitar 5?!?!”. The class is a continuation of Guitar 4 and in the context of playing specific songs, we’ll work on:
new chords
strumming & finger picking patterns
navigating guitar tab
various scales and finger exercises to help build strength, dexterity, and finger independence.
Bring a guitar, flat pick and capo.
This class will be held from 8:00-9:15pm ET on Tuesdays, Jan 7, 14, 21, 28, Feb 4
Please note: The class will be held at The Passim School of Music which is located at 26 Church St. Cambridge, MA. Classrooms are located on the third floor and, unfortunately, we do not have an elevator.
Limited to 12 students (18 yrs of age or older); Pre-sales are highly encouraged! Online sale ends 1 hour before the class begins. Tickets can be purchased at the door. before the class begins. 3 students are required for this class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be notified and receive a full refund.

Janet Feld is an award-winning performing songwriter, appearing at folk festivals and coffeehouses from coast to coast throughout a nearly four-decade career. She’s been teaching general music classes and private lessons to people of all ages since the 1980s. Since 2000, she’s been teaching guitar and songwriting at The Passim School of Music and is the founder and Chief Music Officer at Janet’s Planet: Music Lessons for Humanoids, Inc. She has recorded 5 CDs and published her first book in 2023 for music teachers Practicing Safe Music: Create an Emotionally Safe and Magical Space for Your Students
