  • In-Person Workshops
  • Old Time

**THIS IS AN IN-PERSON WORKSHOP**

Join us to learn a tune! We will discuss how to use the bow to incorporate a more rhythmic and danceable sound into your playing. In the context of a tune, we will learn more about a fiddle’s role in a string band (and on its own), syncopation, and discuss the relationship between bowings and old time melodies.

Experience in other styles and ability to play double stops is encouraged.

This workshop will be 60 minutes and held on April 19th from 2:30pm-3:30pm

Please note: The workshop will be held at The Passim School of Music which is located at 26 Church St. Cambridge, MA. Classrooms are located on the third floor and, unfortunately, we do not have an elevator.

Limited to 15 students (18 yrs of age or older);  Pre-sales are highly encouraged! Online sale ends 2 hours before the workshop begins. Tickets can be purchased at the door before the workshop begins. 5 students are required for this workshop to meet. If a workshop is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be notified and receive a full refund.
