90s Songs for Ukulele

  • In-Person Classes
  • Instrumental
  • Roots

*THIS IS AN IN-PERSON CLASS*

From alternative rock to R&B-tinged girl groups and boy bands… from Lollapalooza to the Lilith Fair, the music of the 1990s has a little something for everyone, and though there were almost zero ukuleles in the mainstream, of course these songs work great on uke! We’ll play popular and lesser-known songs from the decade, with an emphasis on strumming and singing for both solo performance and uke group participation. Topics will include strumming rhythms, chucking, barre chords, embellishments, choosing keys/arranging for ukulele and more.

This class will be held from 6:30-7:45pm on Wednesdays, Jan 8, 15, 22, 29, Feb 5

Please note: The class will be held at The Passim School of Music which is located at 26 Church St. Cambridge, MA. Classrooms are located on the third floor and, unfortunately, we do not have an elevator.
