Youth Fiddle GroupYouth Fiddle Group - with instructor Clíodhna Field Palmer St at 3pm - FREE https://bostonirishmusicschool.com/faculty/ . Message from Clíodhna: "I began this journey of teaching fiddle lessons in my home and native town, Ashbourne Co. Meath. I was fortunate to start teaching fiddle lessons from my parents home at the age of 16 years of age, where I had been consistently teaching through my 20’s while studying and teaching as a secondary school music and Gaelic Irish teacher in Ireland. In 2012 I made the leap of faith to move to Boston and continue my love and passion of Irish music through performing and teaching. Today I have over 30+ students varying from the ages of 4 to….. let’s say experienced knowledgeable adults!! During the Covid shut down my students moved to online lessons which I will be forever grateful and thankful for, and it also made me realize how lucky we had it playing freely at sessions. Online lessons directed me to record and make audios for my students, and delve more into the “online platform”. This in return has brought more results in my teaching and when the students work with similar audios and videos they join seamlessly together when it’s time to perform! May the love and joy of music continue to grow and live on in this wonderful city of irish music and culture."

Mrs. Wilberforce - with Sean Smith and Kyra DaviesMrs. Wilberforce Palmer St. at 4pm - FREE https://www.mrswilberforce.com/ . Kyra and Sean play music from Ireland, Scotland and Cape Breton – but also further afield, like Shetland, Brittany and Galicia, among other places. Although their sound is rooted in tradition, they readily, and happily, draw upon influences from the classical and contemporary folk/folk-rock domains, bringing out the distinctive qualities of each tune or song for the enjoyment of their audiences.
