We are thrilled to announce our 2024 Iguana Fund and Gecko Fund Recipients! Check out these amazing artists and be on the lookout for their projects coming to the world in 2025. Join us for a showcase of these artists on Monday, May 12th at Club Passim.

The Iguana Music Fund is a grant program that for the last 17 years has given $40,000 annually in grants to New England-based artists. Grants are used for projects that aid in artists' career growth, and range from recording projects to community programs to specialized equipment or instruments. The Gecko Fund is for New England projects with a strong narrative arc. It was inspired by great works such as Anaïs Mitchell's Hadestown. For more details, visit passim.org/gecko.

Passim is so grateful for the artistry, resilience, and vision of the inaugural cohort of The Folk Collective. These twelve artists didn’t just push boundaries—they reclaimed the diverse roots of folk music, reminding us that it has always been a tapestry of many voices. Through courageous conversations and inspiring collaborations, they created a more inclusive and welcoming space for musicians and audiences alike. Their joyful, collaborative concerts over the past two years have left an indelible mark on Greater Boston’s music community and beyond. We honor their legacy and look forward to introducing the next cohort of The Folk Collective in the coming months.
