“Mark Stepakoff provides homespun comfort with this 10-track collection of reflective Americana” – Boston Globe

Join us at Passim on February 16 for a special show to celebrate the release of Mark’s latest album “The Sound Of That”, on the night of his 65th birthday.

A longtime fixture on the Boston folk music scene, singer-songwriter Mark Stepakoff is widely admired for his mix of wryly humorous and wistfully poignant material, in the vein of artists such as John Prine and London Wainwright III. Mark has received numerous songwriting awards and has performed at venues and folk festivals all over the Northeast. Most recently he was selected for the Emerging Artist showcase at the 2024 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. His music has also been featured on the HBO series “Made For Love”, the Netflix series “Bodkin”, and the motion picture “Americana” starring Sydney Sweeney. “The Sound Of That” is Mark’s seventh album. His previous releases have reached as high as number 2, and his songs as high as number 3, on the Folk Alliance International Folk Radio airplay chart. Among the many artists he has opened for are Bill Morrissey, Steve Forbert, Christine Lavin, Cheryl Wheeler, Buskin & Batteau and Don White.
